GTA IV Leaked Intro

Yeah! Thanks to user Hannibal who submitted GTA IV Leaked Intro. It's currently up in shoddy quality until we can get some kind soul to get us a decent video grab of the intro to the monolith title - soon to be released.

Too Fast Too Furious

More cinematics added, this time all from the Need for Speed series including: Need for Speed: Carbon, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Need for Speed: Underground 2 and Need for Speed: Underground.

We're in need of more members, and more submissions - so if you haven't signed up, take few seconds to sign up and comment on some of your favourite video games. Also all unregistered users can rate on which game cutscenes they like best so please lend a hand and rate your favourite cinematics in games.

report broken cinematics Also now I've added a report game feature so that everyone can report videos that are broken and videos that are incorrect (mislabelled cinematics, wrong cutscenes, junk cinematics, etc). Please make use of it only when you find something wrong with one of the cutscenes.

DNS errors

Well it's been a hectic week, asides from our host suspending our account just as we made the frontPage of Digg - and then having to move hosts, some nasty DNS errors - everything is finally settling down. In time I can only hope that we can rebuilt our community and continue this project along it's real goal - to accumulate more cinematics.

Please Spread the Word About CineGamer and share it with all fellow Gamers.

We got Dugg + Host Problems

We got Dugg today, and either the traffic or something caused our Host to remove our site, and the site was then redirected to a blog. We're deeply sorry about this - but we hope you'll still help us in collecting and indexing as many cinematics as possible.

You may need to sign-up again if you did so before, because we've moved hosts and had to use an older backup. Thanks for your patience.

Welcome to Cinema Gamer ...

Welcome to Cinema Gamer! Let me begin by explaining what this is exactly, or you can just read the FAQ in its entirety.

What is Cinema Gamer?
Cinema Gamer is just an ambitious project to document as many video game cinematics as possible. Our dream is to create an archive of every video game cinematic and in-game movie.

What is a Cinematic?
There are many names for this - including cut-scene, fmv, CG video, intro, outro, and of course cinematic. In short, a cinematic is a pre-rendered or in-game generated movie that is used in video games to help tell a story, further a plot, guide a user to do or view something, or just as a way of showing off in-game features.

Why would anyone need this?
Countless reasons, but:
  • Maybe you enjoyed playing a game and want to see the cinematics again.
  • You can't remember the exact plot of some game.
  • You were never able to beat that final boss, but still want to see how it ends.
  • You want to play the sequel/prequel to the game, but have no clue what the background story is.
Where's [insert game] cinematics?
We currently only have a very very tiny amount of games covered, but were hoping for everyone to help contribute cinematics from their favourite games and help us build a large archive of these cinematics. You're missing X cinematic from a game! With the video games that we have listed, we don't have all the cinematics from these games covered. We generally have at minimum the introduction and conclusion, but in some cases we may only have one of these. We need people to fill in these gaps by submitting the cinematics.

How can I HELP?
You can upload and submit videos. First just sign up for an account (it's quick and simple, <1 minute), then just upload your video to any video host of your choice (e.g. YouTube, Veoh) and then just submit the details to us using the submit form. You can also comment and rate video game cinematics by browsing the site.

Well that's about it, the system is a little buggy but we'll iron the kinks as we progress. Thanks to everyone who helps out, view this, or takes the time comment/register/rate.
